The programme aim to advocate for the implementation of favorable agriculture policies and budgets that meet the needs of small holder farmers, farmer federations, civil society and women’s organizations. It has the following objectives: 

  1. To influence government national budget priorities to the agricultural sector; 
  2. To strengthen the capacity of small holder farmers, farmer federations, civil society and women’s organizations to engage with the government. 
  3. Expose stakeholders to the government policy and budget processes at the local, regional and national levels 
  4. Advocate for the implementation of favorable agriculture policies and budgets that meet the needs of small holder farmers, farmer federations, civil society and women’s organizations. 
  5. To build capacity of community members to track and analyze national and local government budgets in order to improve resource allocation to the agricultural sector.
